Mu Koh Petra is a national park that looks like a junk (boat) located in the southwest of Thailand, Malacca Strait of the Andaman Sea, Indian Ocean. Covering beach areas along the coastline in Pak Nam Subdistrict, La Ngu District, Khon Khlan Subdistrict, Thung Wa District, Satun Province, and Sukorn Subdistrict, Palian District, Trang Province. Consisting of many important islands such as Petra Island, Khao Yai Island, Lalo Ban Tae Island, Lidi Island, Bulon Island, Koh Lao Liang, and Perama Island. Most of the topography is a steep and high mountain, some are plain areas at valley and beach. The area of land and sea is approximately 494.38 sq km or 308,987 rai, Mu Ko Petra National Park was established as a national park in 1983 and was announced in a royal decree on December 31, 1984. With lots of forests, mountains, wildlife, and colorful corals here, the Park is a beautiful natural creation place. The Park office is located at a natural cove known as Ao Noon.
